The vendor don't even give you an object. It registers you on the network & you download the software to run your bot. So you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.....
I've got 5 bots from BDG SL Bot & they work great. I make at least 150 dollars per month just having 5 bots camp.

If youn have tool that ejects/orbits BOT´s that are sitting on a camping chair or on the ground i will pay you what you like !! It must work in NOREZ NODAMAGE land. I want to kill this f*cking bots that take all good camping places from the real Avatars !!

So far i can see there 2 differend kind of bots, I can be sure in 85 % of the bots that there bots and know how to deal with them.
Unfortunaly, this can crash a sim as well, still perfecting the system :)
BOTS ARE NOT SCRIPTED OBJECTS
Bots used to camp or buy land or not scripted objects. They are run thru specially designed clients you log in alts with on SL. They are not something sitting on a scripted object.
There are many different bots on Second Life. Different people have designed different kinds of bots. They pretty much all run the same way. You need to download special SL clients to log them on with & issue commands to them.
People that do not have a bot do not know what their talking about half the time. You can't look at an avie & say its a bot. You can't detect a bot. Only way to see bots is to watch people really good on your land & they you will see which ones are bots.

very easy to hack and make it work for free.
run your own auth server, thats all.
