Linden prize - A Correction

I've edited my post regarding the Linden Prize. Initially I assumed that the prize was USD$10,000 of Linden dollars as this was the case last year and the FAQ mentioned that the true value would be dependent upon the lindex exchange rate.

However the FAQ has now removed that information and Massively have confirmed in a post that the prize will be a straight USD$10,000 payment.

Why is this important you may ask. Well last year Linden lab got a little bit of stick for paying the prize in Linden dollars, one accusation was that they really weren't giving much away by paying it in Linden dollars and another accusation was that they were actually profiting from it because lindex transactions are subject to a surcharge.

Whether either accusation was fair is open to debate but at least now there can be no such accusations.
