EDIT TO ADD: The Paris & Bally's are side by side, and pretty much connected. A lot of people are considering the Paris as well because it has better reviews and is only a few bucks more.
As stated originally by Gigs over at SLUinverse, a "Main" location has been chosen for the SL Tea Party!!
The central organizers have decided to go with Bally's as the "main" hotel to stay at. This does not mean that you need to stay there to participate.
Here's some good things about Bally's:
* Their cheap room in the south tower is 450 square feet!
* Very central location, the mid-strip is more closely spaced too
* The Paris is basically part of the same building, and a little more upscale for those with large budgets.
* The 20 dollar trick is rumored to work well
* Food is good, but not the greatest value on the strip.
* Within walking distance (connected to) of one of the best buffets, Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood (right next door).
* Bally's Big Kitchen Buffet Mon-Fri breakfast $13; Mon-Fri lunch $15; Sat-Sun brunch $19; dinner $19 Reviews are mixed, but nothing too bad.
* Unlimited lobster buffet! (That one is more like $40 though)
* $300 airfare voucher for your next trip
* The Price is Right - Live. No Barker, but you should still spay and neuter your pet.
* The Paris is proudly marketed as gay friendly.
* Harrah's has a central clearing house for event planning at any one of their hotels (Rio/Paris/Bally's/Caesar's Palace/Imperial Palace/etc)
* Bottom Line: Good value for a centrally located on-strip hotel.
