Here's Jon Stewart from a few days ago, pulling no punches:
This created a mild ruckus on at least one list - but Jon Stewart hadn't gotten his hands on it yet. Some people were pretty upset about how Second Life was portrayed.
I hate to break it to everyone. It is funny. It is hilarious - from the thought that started the whole hearing to the coverage of it. And so it was made fun of. Lots of other things that are serious have not been made fun of - but this was. Why? Because it really was a waste of money and time to even have that particular hearing. I mean, come on... they can't find Osama bin Laden, so they're looking in Second Life now? Is that the best intelligence that they have to go on? That Osama might be renting a funny shaped plot on Dreamland while selling copies of his biography through SLExchange? Come on. Next they'll be saying he runs a stock exchange in Australia!
I know that some people take Second Life seriously, and they should. But you know - when you step back now and then, some of the things that happen can only be explained with laughter.
And yes, I expect to get flamed for this one.

Lighten up...
No-one should approach or engage with Second Life without a sense of humour...
Otherwise we'll have a world full of Ansche Chung clones.
For the love of god...
It's the daily show, I don't see you all up in arms when they make fun of Bush.
