SKY Strikes Back

Via this notice on WSE Live (to be deleted by Luke soon, no doubt):

Delisting
Submitted by: Sky Island Estate (SKY)

SKY is delisting from the WSE. My reason is simple; Anshe Chung (Third Party) is an investor in our company and in the WSE. She allows avatars to break the forum rules, bashing us on the SLExchange.com. I will not continue to support those that do not support us.

I have made a list of all the SKY shareholders. We will either regroup on a different exchange or pay each person for their shares. Because Third Party is not a valid avatar name he/she will not be refunded.

Good luck with your SL companies.
Take care.

Ouch. It is a pretty well known fact that the WSE has Anshe Chung and others hiding behind the name 'Third Party' - and LukeConnell Vandeverre has said over and over that Linden dollars represent a limited license right... so it seems that Paris has turned the tables in that regard.

I guess when you make a game, you better lookout for those rules.

Paris Druart hasn't responded to me inworld yet, but it does seem like she has said what she wanted to - and set a tone that is a little defiant in its own way. Whether this was a good move or not is open to debate - but it certainly is a bold move, and one that seems to be based on something quite odd in most business:

Principle.

It is hard not to respect that.
