Re: My Short Lived Ban on Second Life.

I'm with you and even I'm not a sim owner I'm very upset too. A couple of weeks ago I developed a business plan for my own Real Estates business. Despite of the fact that I found a potential investor to share the risk of my 30 k US$ investment, I had to freeze my plan.

I dropped the plan because I was unable to answer some questions securing the financial side of the business. I could not get the necessary information that allowed me to plan for a period of 12 to 16 months.

Having worked a while for a succesful Real Estates agency in SL I've seen how OS sims destroyed the land market and the value of fullprim sims. After thinking about Linden Lab's role I expected to see some policy changes in the future. So one of my questions was, what happens if LL changes it's policy and implements a massive price increase for OS? Another was, what happens if LL changes it's policy regarding the use of OS sims or implements tools to avoid abuse (in relation to the TOS).

As I could not answers my questions, I dropped the plan because it was far too risky. I'll better not think about the words I would have used if I had entered the business!
